HOUSTON, Texas - In honor of 713 Day, the Houston Astros will be celebrating all things Houston with a limited-edition New Era snapback hat collaboration with Gallery Furniture’s Jim McIngvale “Mattress Mack,” along with four sports themed “concept caps” from New Era.

The Astros collaborated with Mattress Mack to offer a very limited-edition New Era Snapback cap in a signature money case box.  The dollar sign New Era cap, featuring an Astros logo on the side, will be sold in a special case for $281 and be limited to 281 units available.  Each cap will come with a gift with purchase pin that is a nod to Mattress Mack “standing by his boys” during the 2022 postseason run that earned the Houston Astros their second World Series title.  Fans are limited to purchase one Mattress Mack 713 box per customer.

The Astros Team Store will also be launching four Houston sports themed “Concept Caps” from New Era.  Each cap, available in both fitted and snapback, features the original concept “A” that was never used on field for the Houston Astros, but has become a cult classic.  The color ways are nods to color schemes of Houston sports teams of the past. 

Fans can only purchase the limited-edition hats at the Astros Center Field Team Store beginning tomorrow, Thursday, July 13 (713 Day) at 7:13 a.m. CT. The store will be open until 7:13 p.m. CT.

At the 713 Day event, fans will also have the opportunity to take photos with the 2017 and 2022 World Series trophies, visit with the Coca Cola Shooting Stars from 7:13 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and visit with Orbit from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Mattress Mack will also be on-site at the event beginning at 7:13 a.m. to greet fans and take photos. 

Houston-based custom shoe designer, Nard Got Sole, will be appearing at the team store beginning at 8:32 a.m. (nod to another Houston area code) to create some Astros inspired custom sneakers that will be given away to one lucky customer at 3:45 p.m. (yet another Houston area code). The entries will need to be filled out in the Center Field Team Store prior to 3 pm of the day of the event.  No purchase necessary and the winner does not need to be present to win.
