Astros announce 2023 broadcast team
Entire Broadcast Team will return in 2023
HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Astros have announced that the entire broadcasting team will return for the 2023 season.
Astros television broadcasters Geoff Blum, Todd Kalas and Julia Morales will be returning to the booth for the 2023 season. Blum will be returning for 11th season as the color analyst for the Astros television broadcast team. The 2023 season will mark Kalas’ seventh as the Astros play-by-play voice on television and his 31st year overall as an MLB broadcaster. Morales is returning to ATT Sportsnet for her 11th season as the Astros television sideline reporter.
Astros radio broadcasters Robert Ford and Steve Sparks will be returning for their 11th season together as the radio voices of the Astros. In their 10 seasons, the duo of Ford and Sparks have called seven postseasons, including six ALCS and four World Series. The 86 postseason games they have called in that span are the most in the Majors.
Astros Spanish radio broadcasters Francisco Romero and Alex Treviño are also back for the 2023 season. Romero and Treviño are one of the longest-tenured broadcast duos in the Majors. The two have been a team since 2008, and have also called 86 postseason games since 2017.
“We are extremely excited to have our entire broadcast team back for next season,” said Anita Sehgal, Astros Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications. “The connection they have built with our fans and community over the past several years is truly unique and special. We expect another exciting season of Astros baseball in 2023 and are thrilled that our outstanding broadcast team will be back to call the action.”
Astros radio broadcast engineer Matt Boltz will be returning for his ninth season with the Houston Astros and his 23rd overall in Major League Baseball.
