The Angels host their 10th homestand of the year from August 12 – August 18. The homestand will open with a three-game series against the Blue Jays, and conclude with a three-game series against the Braves. Below is a look at the notable events and ceremonies taking place at Angel Stadium over the next seven days.

PLAYERS’ WEEKEND

• Friday, August 16 to Sunday, August 18 is Players’ Weekend across Major League Baseball, and players will showcase their personalities and charitable causes with custom cleats and bat designs. Each of the three days will have a different theme: Friday, August 16 will emphasize the fun aspects of players’ personalities, friendships and interests. Saturday, August 17 will highlight players’ charity and community initiatives off of the field. Sunday, August 18 will center around celebrating the people that helped the players on their journey to the Major Leagues. During the games, players will also wear special Players’ Weekend caps on the field, and there will be themed in-game entertainment.

ITALIAN HERITAGE NIGHT

• On Wednesday, August 14, the Angels will celebrate Italian Heritage Night at Angel Stadium. Prior to the game, there will be an Italian Heritage Village in the Rose Garden. During the game, there will also be special recognition for the Italian community.

IRISH HERITAGE NIGHT

• On Saturday, August 17, the Angels will celebrate Irish Heritage Night at Angel Stadium. Prior to the game, there will be a traditional Irish dance performance on the field, as well as an Irish Heritage Village in the Rose Garden. During the game, there will also be special recognition for the Irish community.

FIREWORKS

• Fans in attendance of the Saturday night game on August 17 will be treated to a postgame fireworks show driven by your Helpful SoCal Honda Dealers.

FAMILY SUNDAY AND KIDS RUN THE BASES

• On Sunday, August 18, fans in attendance can enjoy fun family games and activities at the Gate 5 courtyard. The festivities continue postgame, with the opportunity for kids to run the bases.
