MIAMI – The partnership between ADT and the Miami Marlins connects two premier South Florida-based organizations who are both committed to positively impacting the communities where they live, work and serve. As part of the ongoing partnership efforts, ADT, America’s most trusted brand in smart home and small business security, and the Miami Marlins are launching Protecting Our Comunidad this season, a program that will spotlight local South Florida small businesses and entrepreneurs who make our community one-of-a-kind.
As part of the 2025 program, ADT is providing a blank canvas at the stadium for small businesses throughout the Miami area to create a pop-up shop within the ballpark, located at Section 17 near the Home Plate Entrance. The goal of the program is to spotlight the passion that makes each business unique and provide security solutions that protect those livelihoods.
“We are proud to team up with the Marlins to launch Protecting Our Comunidad, using our influence and reach as a force for good,” said Ben Tamblyn, Chief Communications Officer, ADT. “We are not only providing these entrepreneurs the visibility they need to grow and succeed, but also the proper small business security solutions to ensure their businesses continue to thrive. We look forward to seeing the community come together at the ballpark to celebrate local businesses and the people behind them.”
The activations not only give fans an opportunity to walk away with an exclusive and complimentary souvenir, but an experience that can only be found at the ballpark. The platform also allows growing businesses extra visibility and the opportunity to create strong consumer connections with new brand fans.
“We are excited to continue building impactful programming through our partnership with ADT,” said Rob Gelman, Marlins Vice President of Partnership Development and Strategy. “The Protecting Our Comunidad program highlights the heart and soul of South Florida—our local small businesses and entrepreneurs. By offering these businesses a unique platform at loanDepot park, we are not only showcasing their passion but also giving fans the opportunity to experience the incredible small businesses that make our community so special. We look forward to spotlighting even more companies in the months ahead and continuing to strengthen the bond between the Marlins, ADT, and the South Florida community.”
As baseball and cold treats make for an incredible double play, the first small business to be spotlighted through the Protecting Our Comunidad program during the months of March and April is Kimberly’s Frozen Treats. Born in uniquely uncertain times, Kimberly's launched its first pop-up window in August of 2020 servicing the sidewalk in the Omni District of Miami. From that humble space, Kimberly's went mobile, introducing vending carts to street corners and events throughout the city. Determined to beat the brutal Florida heat and destined to be a staple local brand, Kimberly’s is quickly becoming a beloved refreshment at popular locations and events of all sizes throughout Miami-Dade County.
