A’s Recall LHP Hogan Harris From Las Vegas; Option RHP Dany Jiménez

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s have recalled left-handed pitcher Hogan Harris from Triple-A Las Vegas and optioned right-handed pitcher Dany Jiménez to Las Vegas, the club announced today.

Harris joins the A’s for the fourth time this season and is 2-3 with a 2.98 ERA in 11 games, including nine starts, across three stints with Oakland. The left-hander has struck out 42 and walked 25 over 54.1 innings. With Las Vegas, Harris is 3-4 with a 6.35 ERA with 65 strikeouts and 39 walks. He was with the Major League club May 6-8 and May 15-17, making two relief appearances, and was then recalled on May 30 and made nine starts with the A’s before rejoining the Aviators on July 26.

Jiménez was reinstated from the injured list on Sunday and made two appearances for the A’s, allowing seven runs, six earned, over 2.0 innings. He was on the Opening Day roster and posted a 3.68 ERA and .176 opponents batting average in 15 relief appearances before being optioned to Las Vegas on May 7. Jiménez was recalled on May 31 and made eight appearances before being placed on the injured list with a strained left oblique on June 23, retroactive to June 20. Overall, he is 1-3 with one save and a 4.91 ERA over 25 games with the Athletics this season.
