A's Acquire RHP Austin Adams from Mets for cash considerations
Adams selected to 40-man roster; RHP Trevor Gott transferred to 60-day IL
OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s have acquired right-handed pitcher Austin Adams from the New York Mets in exchange for cash considerations, the club announced today. The A’s have also selected Adams to the 40-man roster, and have transferred right-handed pitcher Trevor Gott to the 60-day injured list.
Adams, 32, made his debut in 2017 with Washington and is 6-5 with a 4.17 ERA, 170 strikeouts and 75 walks in 114.1 career innings pitched at the Major League level spanning 132 appearances. He spent 2023 with Arizona, going 0-1 with a 5.71 ERA in 17.1 Major League innings pitched, and 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA in 12.2 innings pitched with Triple-A Reno.
Adams signed with the Mets as a free agent in November and was outrighted to Triple-A in February.
