The Pittsburgh Pirates today released the 2024 regular season schedule.

The Pirates will open the 2024 campaign on Thursday, March 28, at Miami with a four-game series against the Marlins followed by three games at Washington from April 1-4. Next year will be just the second time ever that the Pirates will face the Marlins on Opening Day after also doing so on April 1, 1996, at Miami. It will also be the earliest the Pirates have started a season along with 2019 when the team played at Cincinnati on March 28 on Opening Day.

The Pirates will return to Pittsburgh to face the Baltimore Orioles in the Home Opener for the first time in team history with the beginning of a three-game series from April 5-7. The first homestand will conclude with a two-game series against the Tigers from April 8-9.

Other highlights of the 2024 regular season schedule include:

• April 19 thru April 25: A seven-game homestand against the Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers.
• July 2 thru July 8: A seven-game homestand against St. Louis and the New York Mets, which will be highlighted by facing the Cardinals on Independence Day.
• July 19 thru July 24: A six-game homestand following the All-Star break against the cross-state rival Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals.
• September 5 thru September 15: A season-long 10-game homestand against Washington, Miami and Kansas City.
• September 24 thru September 26: A three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers to close out the home portion of the 2024 campaign.
• September 27 thru September 29: A three-game road trip to the Bronx to face the New York Yankees in the final series of the regular season.
