SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Padres agreed to terms with three additional players from the 2018 draft prior to today's deadline: 3B Sean Guilbe (12th rd.), RHP Nick Thwaits (15th rd.) and LHP Cullen Dana (30th rd.). Overall, the club signed 29 of 41 players selected in the draft, including each of their first 13 picks, as well as two non-drafted free agents.
Including the non-drafted free agents, the Padres agreed to terms with three catchers, six infielders, five outfielders, nine right-handed pitchers and eight left-handed pitchers. The club signed 22 college players and nine out of high school.
