SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres selected 10 players on the second day of Major League Baseball’s 2024 First-Year Player Draft and have taken 12 players overall.

In the first two days of the draft, the Padres selected seven position players (two shortstops, two third basemen and three outfielders) and five pitchers (two left-handed pitchers and three right-handed pitchers). The club selected eight college players and four from the high school ranks.

The MLB draft will conclude tomorrow on Tuesday, July 16^th with rounds 11-20.
