SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Padres released their schedule for the 2022 regular season today including new earlier start times for all weeknight home games. Based on Padres fan feedback, first pitch will now be at 6:40 p.m. PT for weeknight home games, while Saturday home games will remain at 5:40 p.m. with select 7:10 p.m. start times due to the national broadcast window, and Sundays will remain at 1:10 p.m. (barring select ESPN games). The Padres will kick off the season at home with a four-game Opening Series presented by Sycuan Casino Resort against the San Francisco Giants beginning on Opening Day, Thursday, March 31. The opening homestand will conclude with a two-game series against the Colorado Rockies from April 5-6.

Home weekends for the Padres in 2022 are highlighted by series against National League West opponents, including two weekend tilts against the Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers, as well as one weekend series against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Rockies. The Atlanta Braves, Twins, Miami Marlins, Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Nationals, Philadelphia Phillies and White Sox also pay weekend visits to Petco Park. The Padres will host the Braves at Petco Park on Easter (April 17), the Marlins on Mother's Day (May 8), the Mariners on Independence Day (July 4) and the Diamondbacks on Labor Day (September 5).

Interleague play in 2022 will bring American League Central opponents to San Diego, as the Minnesota Twins (July 29-31), Cleveland Guardians (August 23-24), and Chicago White Sox (September 30-October 2) will all make the trip to America's Finest City. This will mark the fourth appearance at Petco Park for the Twins and their fifth overall in San Diego, and only the second visit to Petco Park for both the Guardians and White Sox. The Seattle Mariners, the Padres' natural Interleague rival, will also visit San Diego on July 4-5. For Interleague road contests, the Padres will visit Cleveland (May 3-4), Detroit (July 25-27), Kansas City (August 26-28) and Seattle (September 13-14).

The club concludes their 2022 regular season schedule with a six-game homestand against the Dodgers (September 27-29) and White Sox (September 30-October 2). San Diego will play 22 of their final 30 regular season games against NL West rivals.
