MLB to celebrate Latin American-born Hall of Famers in All-Star pregame ceremony
Major League Baseball will celebrate the best Latin American-born baseball players in the history of the sport prior to the 88th MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard in Miami on Tuesday, July 11. The honorees will include members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame from MLB and the Negro Leagues.

In addition, participating honorees will throw the ceremonial first pitch to a group of current All-Stars. The ceremony, which will be emceed by Joe Buck and feature a video narrated by Andy Garcia, will air on FOX and FOX Deportes as part of its pre-game coverage starting at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.
Hall of Fame MLB players who will be recognized include Roberto Alomar, Luis Aparicio, Rod Carew, Orlando Cepeda, Juan Marichal, Pedro Martínez, Tony Pérez, and Iván Rodríguez. The late Roberto Clemente will be represented by his wife, Vera, and sons, Roberto Jr., Luis and Roberto Enrique. The late Martín Dihigo, José Mendéz and Cristóbal Torriente, Latino Hall of Famers who played in the Negro Leagues, will be recognized as part of the ceremony.

Manfred, Jr. "This group of Hall of Famers are outstanding role models for MLB's current Latino players who are some of the game's brightest stars."
MLB All-Star Week includes the MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard at Marlins Park (July 11th), Gatorade All-Star Workout Day featuring the T-Mobile Home Run Derby (July 10th), All-Star Sunday featuring the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game (July 9th), All-Star FanFest at the Miami Beach Convention Center (July 7th-11th), plus a lineup of additional events taking place around the city. The 88th Midsummer Classic will be televised nationally by FOX Sports; in Canada by Rogers Sportsnet and RDS; and worldwide by partners in more than 180 countries. FOX Deportes will provide Spanish language coverage in the United States, while ESPN Radio and ESPN Radio Deportes will provide exclusive national radio coverage of the All-Star Game.
