Intentional Talk and MLB Tonight to air live from Iowa on Wednesday, Aug. 10 and Thursday, Aug. 11, leading up to the 2022 MLB at Field of Dreams Game between the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds
August 4, 2022 –MLB Network announced it will exclusively air the MiLB at Field of Dreams telecast featuring the Cedar Rapids Kernels (Minnesota Twins High-A Affiliate) against the Quad Cities River Bandits (Kansas City Royals High-A Affiliate) on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m. ET. Greg Amsinger (play-by-play), Harold Reynolds (analyst) and Jon Morosi (reporter) will call the action from the MLB ballpark adjacent to the Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville, Iowa. The MiLB at Field of Dreams telecast follows MLB Network’s extensive coverage of the MLB Draft in Los Angeles during All-Star Week and the MLB Draft Combine in San Diego this past June. Amsinger and Reynolds have called games together over the years on MLB Network, including MLB Network Showcase x MLB Tonight-style telecasts, and the 2018 and 2019 SiriusXM Futures Game.
Following the MiLB at Field of Dreams telecast, the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs will take the field for the MLB at Field of Dreams presented by Geico on Thursday, Aug. 11, at 8 p.m. ET. MLB Network’s Intentional Talk (4 p.m. ET) co-hosted by Stephen Nelson and Kevin Millar and MLB Tonight (5 p.m. ET) with Amsinger and Reynolds will air live from Iowa on Wednesday, Aug. 10 and Thursday, Aug. 11, leading up to the game. Reporter Jon Morosi will contribute across MLB Network’s studio programming from Iowa on Aug. 9, 10 and 11, plus MLB Pipeline’s Sam Dykstra will join MLB Central on Aug. 9 (9 a.m. ET) to preview the Kernels – River Bandits matchup.
The MLB Network Showcase game schedule presented by Chevrolet continues with the San Diego Padres hosting the San Francisco Giants on Monday, Aug. 8 at 9:30 p.m. ET, with Bob Costas (play-by-play), Hunter Pence (analyst) and Amy Gutierrez (reporter) calling the action from Petco Park.
