Feb. 23, 2021 – As full-squad workouts begin this week for all 30 Major League clubs, MLB Network’s signature Spring Training series 30 Clubs in 30 Days presented by Camping World returns this Thursday, Feb. 25. MLB Network’s live studio programming, including Hot Stove, High Heat and MLB Tonight will cover the team featured that day on the schedule. More than 20 on-air personalities will contribute across the five-week series with new player, manager and coach interviews, season predictions, and comprehensive roster and prospect analysis. The Grapefruit League will be under the microscope first with the Atlanta Braves (Thursday), Detroit Tigers (Friday), Philadelphia Phillies (Saturday) and New York Yankees (Sunday) scheduled this week. The Cleveland Indians will be the first Cactus League team in the spotlight Friday, March 12. The complete 30 Clubs in 30 Days schedule is available here. MLB Network’s 2021 Spring Training game telecast schedule will begin with the Toronto Blue Jays against the New York Yankees this Sunday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. ET, live from George M. Steinbrenner Field. Each Spring Training game aired on MLB Network will be a carriage of local telecasts, including local announcers, and blacked out in each club’s home market unless otherwise noted. MLB Network’s complete Spring Training game schedule will be announced in the near future.
Leading up to 30 Clubs in 30 Days, an interactive, instructional #SandlotToTheShow live stream featuring The Art of Pitching will air tomorrow, February 24 at 7:00 p.m. ET across MLB Network’s Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Twitch accounts as well as MLB.com. Hosted by Scott Braun, MLB Network analysts and World Series champion pitchers Ryan Dempster and Al Leiter, along with Hall of Fame pitchers Pedro Martínez and John Smoltz will provide youth players individualized feedback and instruction on videos featuring them pitching. Using the hashtag #SandlotToTheShow and tagging @MLBNetwork, parents and kids can currently submit their videos to Instagram and Twitter for a chance to be shown on tomorrow’s stream. In addition to offering tips for improvement, the former pitchers will engage in a real-time Q&A with fans, kids, parents and coaches who submit their baseball instruction questions within the live stream. MLB Network’s first-ever live stream of #SandlotToTheShow this past December featuring 15 different MLB Network analysts generated more than 260,000 live viewers across its platforms.
MLB Network most recently completed its Top 100 Players Right Now! series with Mike Trout ranked as the best player in Major League Baseball, followed by Mookie Betts, Jacob deGrom, Freddie Freeman and Juan Soto. In addition to its daily studio programming covering the latest news, MLB Network launched Epic Innings this offseason, a new series on a specific theme utilizing an MLB Tonight-style format. New editions of The Sounds of Baseball also debuted this offseason on Ford C. Frick Award winners Mel Allen and Red Barber, Curt Gowdy and Tony Kubek.
