Phillies Charities, Inc. Recognizes 2018 Community Heroes
Dozens of organizations to be honored on Thursday, December 6, for helping those in need; awarded more than $2 million in Phillies Charities, Inc. grants to ensure that community efforts continue
Ordinary people doing extraordinary things in their communities are getting some much-deserved recognition.
In honor of #GivingTuesday, Phillies Charities, Inc. is saluting dozens of local charities and organizations who are making an impact in the Phillies' major league and minor league communities. All of these community heroes (listed below) will be honored for their charitable efforts on Thursday, December 6, at the Phillies Charities, Inc. Holiday Giving Party at Citizens Bank Park. This special event will also recognize those who were selected to receive a 2018 Phillies Charities, Inc. grant, distributed so that their community efforts could continue.

"Through the support of our fans, Phillies Charities is able to enhance the efforts of these charitable organizations providing vital services to individuals and families in need."
In the past year, Phillies Charities, Inc. awarded more than $2 million to charitable organizations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and in areas near the Phillies minor league affiliates as well as in the hometowns of uniformed personnel. Phillies Charities, Inc. serves as the fundraising arm of the Phillies organization and awards grants to a variety of charitable organizations each year.
