For the fourth consecutive season, The Texas Lottery will be the Presenting Partner for the Battle of the Silver Boot between Texas’ two Major League teams.

The 2019 Silver Boot Series Presented by The Texas Lottery begins with a three-game series between the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros starting tonight at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The teams will play on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, April 1-3 with all three games at 7:05 p.m.

Overall, it marks the 19th season that the Astros and Rangers have played in the regular season with the winner of the year’s series receiving the coveted Silver Boot. Texas has captured the Silver Boot in 12 of the previous 18 years with Houston winning 12 of the 19 meetings between the two clubs in 2018.

“The Rangers are looking forward to working with The Texas Lottery again in 2019 as the Presenting Partner for the Silver Boot Series,” said Rangers Sr. Vice President, Partnerships & Client Services Jim Cochrane. “The Silver Boot Series has provided an exciting rivalry over the many years, and we welcome The Texas Lottery back for its fourth season of sponsorship for the in-state rivalry.” 

Since 1997, The Texas Lottery has contributed more than $22 billion to the Foundation School Fund, which supports public education in Texas. In addition, The Texas Lottery has contributed more than $104 million for veteran’s programs since 2009.

Houston travels back to Arlington to continue the Silver Boot Series for a three-game weekend set, Friday and Saturday, April 19-20 at 7:05 and Sunday, April 21 at 2:05 p.m.
