PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks added INF Wyatt Mathisen (@wmathisen_4), RHP Riley Smith (@rileywade2013), RHP Taylor Widener and INF Andy Young (@AndyJYoung15) to the 40-man roster. The D-backs’ 40-man roster is at 39.

- INF Wyatt Mathisen (25) – Hit .283 (80-for-283)/.403 OBP/.601 SLG with 19 doubles, 23 home runs and 61 RBI in 87 games with Triple-A Reno in 2019…played 59 games at third base with the Aces, 20 at second, 9 at first, 3 at pitcher and 1 in right field…signed by the D-backs as a Minor League free agent on November 12, 2018 and was a non-roster invitee to Spring Training…in 8 Minor League seasons in the Pirates’ (2012-18) and D-backs’ (2019) organizations, has batted .272 (584-for-2,148) with 107 doubles, 47 home runs and 267 RBI in 649 games…was selected by Pittsburgh in the second round of the 2012 draft out of Calallen High School in Corpus Christi, Texas.
