Cubs activate INF/OF Ben Zobrist

The Chicago Cubs today activated infielder/outfielder Ben Zobrist off of the 10-day disabled list.

The Chicago Cubs today activated infielder/outfielder Ben Zobrist off of the 10-day disabled list. Infielder David Bote has been optioned to Triple-A Iowa. Zobrist will be available for the Cubs this afternoon when they continue their series against the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field.
Zobrist was placed on the disabled list with back tightness on April 21 (retroactive to April 18) and did not require a rehab stint as part of his return. He is batting .326 (14-for-43) with one double, one triple, one homer and seven RBI in 13 games with the Cubs this season.
Bote is hitting .111 (1-for-9) with a double in three games with Chicago and is batting .234 (11-for-47) with two doubles, one triple and three home runs in 12 games with Iowa this season.
