The Astros Buddies Club is the ballclub's longest-standing fan program, dating back to the 1960's. The Six Shooter Club debuted in 1962 and then became the Astros Buddies Club when the franchise changed names and moved to the Astrodome in 1965.
An Astros Buddies Club presented by BBVA Compass membership includes premium items, exclusive Buddies-only experiences, tickets to select Astros games, newsletters and more. Astros Buddies memberships are available for young fans 12 and under. EXCLUSIVE BUDDIES OPPORTUNITIES
The Astros Buddies Club presented by BBVA Compass offers several exclusive opportunities for members all season long.
Throughout the 2018 season, there will be five autograph sessions on select weekend dates, just for Buddies! Buddies members also get early access to Kids Run the Bases, which takes place following every Sunday day game. Astros Buddies can start lining up as early as the top of the 8th inning and will be first down to the field. Buddies members have the chance to participate in the Summer Series Buddies Clinics, which take place on the field at Minute Maid Park. Buddies members learn the basics of baseball from Astros Youth Academy instructors on the same field where the Houston Astros play! Members also have the opportunity to take a lap around the warning track during Buddies pregame parades, which fall on Buddies game dates so members can use their vouchers to participate.
Each Saturday home game, Buddies member will be selected at random to watch the Astros take Batting Practice from the field. Members are automatically entered and winners will be provided tickets for that day's Astros game. During select Sunday home games, Buddies members will be selected at random to Take the Field with the Houston Astros during the National Anthem prior to first pitch. The selected winners will be given tickets for that day's game as well. Buddies members are also automatically entered for the chance to "work" for the Astros for a day during Buddies Behind-the-Scenes Day! Roles include groundskeeper, PA announcer, pregame coordinator, Shooting Star and more. Game tickets will be provided to the randomly selected winners.
