Angels announce 2019 Opening Day roster
General Manager Billy Eppler today announced the Club’s 2019 Opening Day roster.
To set the roster at 25 active players, RHP/DH Shohei Ohtani (right elbow UCL injury; retro to 3/25), LHP Andrew Heaney (left elbow inflammation; retro to 3/25), OF Justin Upton (left foot turf toe; retro to 3/25), RHP Taylor Cole (right shoulder strain; retro to 3/25) and OF Michael Hermosillo (core muscle injury; retro to 3/25) have been placed on the 10-day injured list.
The Halos begin the 2019 regular season tonight against the Oakland Athletics at 1:07 p.m. (PDT) at the Oakland Coliseum. Angels will open at home on Thursday April 4 against the Texas Rangers (7:07 pm).
