The Oakland A's have sent minor league right-handed pitcher Wilkin Ramos to the Pittsburgh Pirates as the player to be named later in the Nov. 20 trade in which the A's acquired right-handed pitcher Tanner Anderson.
Ramos spent the 2018 season with the A's affiliate in the Dominican Summer League and was 3-3 with a 3.15 ERA and .260 opponents batting average in 14 games, including eight starts. He did not allow a home run in 40.0 innings and held right-handed hitters to a .219 batting average. The 18-year-old native of the Dominican Republic was signed by the A's on July 25, 2017.
