Returns to Giants organization for 2nd campaign...11th-year professional returned to majors with Giants in 2006 for 1st time since logging combined 33 ML contests with Montreal Expos in 2000 and 2001...owns lifetime .289 batting avg. (24-for-83) in 49 big league contests...has appeared in 1,073 career minor league games...has seen time in Montreal chain (1996-2002), along with Pittsburgh (2002-04), Colorado (2005) and San Francisco (2006) organizations. Attended Escuela Padre Garcia (Santo Domingo, DR) High School...married (Julia)...2 daughters (Abigail, Nov. 15, 1993; and Marcelina, June 24, 1999)...son (Marcos, Sept. 14, 1995).

Enjoyed one of his finest professional seasons, batting combined .303 (99- for-327) with 22 2Bs, 8 HRs and 45 RBI in 86 games with triple-A Fresno and Giants' affiliate in Arizona Rookie League...spent week in Desert while rehabbing from left-hip strain...played in 79 contests as Grizzlies' primary shortstop, batting .293 (88-for-300)...had contract purchased from triple-A Fresno Aug. 19 after Kevin Frandsen was placed on Disabled List...appeared in 16 games for SF (at 2B, SS, 3B, as pinch-hitter and pinch-runner), going 5-for-16 (.313) with RBI...Aug. 19 appearance vs. Dodgers marked 1st ML game since May 23, 2001.

After opening season with Nashua of Independent Atlantic League, signed witih Rockies organization and established career highs with 48 RBI in 89 games with triple-A Colorado Springs.

Non-roster invitee to Pittsburgh's Spring Training, played in 63 games at triple- A Nashville and 9 contests at double-A Altoona...combined to bat .283 with career-high 8 HRs and 33 RBI.
2003
Logged ML Spring Training action with Pirates, but spent entire season at Nashville.
2002
Opened year at triple-A Ottawa in Montreal organization, but was claimed off waivers by Pittsburgh April 15...played in 105 games for Nashville.

Batted .238 over 121 contests with Ottawa, and made 1 pinch-hitting appearance for Montreal (May 23 vs. Mets).
