Taylor M. Tankersley graduated from Warren Central (MS) High School...Was a member of the 5A state championship baseball team as a senior...Attended the University of Alabama...Went 8-5 with seven saves in 25 games, three starts as a junior...His grandfather, Earl Tankersley, played in the St. Louis Browns minor league system and his father, Tom is a nuclear physicist for Entergy Company, a nuclear power plant in Vicksburg, Miss...Created Eric's Legacy Scholarship Fund in memory of a high school friend Eric Smith...The Fund awards one college scholarship each year to a student from Vicksburg, Miss...Drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 39th round of the 2001 First-Year Player Draft, but did not sign.
