Was selected by Minnesota in the fourth round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft... Previously attended Major League Spring Training camps with Minnesota (2017-19), New York (NL) (2020) and Boston (2021)... Had committed to play baseball at the University of San Diego prior to being selected by Minnesota in 2013... Graduated from Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego...went 6-1 with a 2.19 ERA in nine starts as a senior...pitched a complete game and struck out eight in the CIF San Diego Section Division III championship game in 2012.

2023

Began the season on the 60-day injured list. Went on rehab assignments to ACL Cubs, Single-A Mrytle Beach and Advanced-A South Bend … tossed a combined 1-0 record with a 5.10 ERA (7 ER/12.1 IP) with 19 strikeouts against only three walks. Appeared in 10 games (five starts) for Triple-A Iowa, going 0-0 with a 6.19 ERA (11 ER/16.0 IP) while holding batters to a .214 average.

2021

Recalled by Boston on Aug. 31, 2021 and made his season debut that day at Tampa Bay ... pitched 2.2 innings allowing two earned runs, two hits, and striking out three batters... In 22 appearances with Triple-A Worcester, he made 10 starts and went 5-4 with one save and a 4.68 ERA (38 ER/73.0 IP).

2020

Split the season between the Mets and Red Sox organizations...Threw 5.0 scoreless innings with NYM in spring training in February and March...Added to the Mets’ Club Player Pool on 7/13...Claimed off waivers by BOS on 7/25/20 and optioned to the Alternate Training Site...Designated for assignment on 8/19 but remained in the Club Player Pool.

2019

Spent most of the season on the minor league injured list (April 1-May 21; May 25-August 10) with an elbow injury...Began the season with Rochester (AAA) in the Twins farm system....Made one start on May 21 against Buffalo...Allowed one hit and an earned run while striking out two and walking five, over 2.0 innings...Made his next start during a rehab assignment with the GCL Twins on August 10...Went 0-1 with a 2.00 ERA (two earned runs/9.0 innings) over five starts...Finished the season at Pensacola (AA), making two relief appearances...Allowed three earned runs over 2.0 innings.

2018

Spent second career spring training with Twins and was optioned to Double-A Chattanooga March 13...Began season as Lookouts' number two starter, pitching 5.1 shutout innings with no hits allowed in season debut April 7 vs. Birmingham...Made four starts for Lookouts, going 3-0, 1.77 ERA (20.1 IP, 4 ER) and was promoted to Triple-A Rochester April 27 (Aaron Slegers recalled from Rochester to Minnesota)...Named International League Pitcher of the Week May 6, going 2-0, 0.63 ERA (14.1 IP, 1 ER) with two walks, four hits allowed and 14 strikeouts in two starts for the Red Wings...Recorded a season-high 11 strikeouts in 5.1 innings May 18 vs. Pawtucket...Made five starts in July, going 2-0, 0.88 ERA (30.2 IP, 3 ER) with nine walks and 24 strikeouts...Recalled by Minnesota August 19 (Ervin Santana - DL)....Made major league debut in a start August 20 vs. Chicago-AL, allowing four runs on six hits in 1.1 innings pitched...recorded first career strikeout, fanning José Abreu in the first inning....Made four starts with the Twins prior to becoming a Primary Pitcher for three appearances...Earned first major league win September 19 at Detroit, pitching 6.0 shutout innings with one hit allowed as Primary Pitcher...Combined to go 14-5, 3.41 ERA (145.1 IP, 55 ER) with 87 walks and 136 strikeouts in 30 games (26 starts) between Minnesota, Rochester and Chattanooga...Named Triple-A All-Star by Baseball America.

Ranked third on Chattanooga staff in wins (8), innings pitched (87.1) and strikeouts, despite pitching just three months there...Promoted to Triple-A Rochester August 7...Made five appearances (4 starts) for Red Wings in August where he finished the season...Named left-handed starting pitcher on the Twins Organizational All-Star team by MiLB.com...
