Simon Emilio... Single... Drafted out of North Shore High School in North Vancouver, BC... Is the 16th Canadian in franchise history to be on the Blue Jays 40-man roster and the 5th from BC.
2003
Was the 2003 Webster Award winner at Syracuse as team MVP... Began the season with New Haven, but earned a promotion to Syracuse after being named as the Blue Jays Organizational Player of the Month in both April and May... Batted .338 with seven home runs and 49 RBI in 61 games with the Ravens... Led New Haven to a 9-1 win at Binghamton on April 29 going 5-5 with a home run, two doubles and two RBI... Collected 39 hits in May, a monthly high for him with 13 multi-hit games during the month... On May 12, drove in five runs in a 13-7 win at Harrisburg... Was promoted to Syracuse and made his debut with SkyChiefs on June 13 going 2-2 with a double and a run in a 5-2 win over Pawtucket, helping the Chiefs snap a four-game losing streak... Went 5-5 with three home runs in a 10-3 win over Charlotte on June 25 joining Al Woods (May 9, 1978) as the only players in SkyChiefs history to collect three home runs and five hits in the same game... Hit safely in 12 of his first 13 games with Syracuse, batting .380 (19-50) over that stretch with four home runs and ten RBI... Included in that stretch was a season-high ten-game hitting streak running from June 23 to July 2... Finished the season with a flourish with three multi-hit outings in his last four games (7-18)... Batted .306 with five home runs and 36 RBI in 63 games with Syracuse... 27 of his 76 hits went for extra bases with 21 doubles, a triple and five home runs... Played for Santurce in the Puerto Rican Winter League.
2002
Tied for the Blue Jays organizational lead and ranked second in the Class A Florida State League with 88 RBI... Ranked fifth in the league with a .479 slugging percentage... Put together a 13-game hitting streak from May 8-20 in which he batted .426 (23-for-54) with five homers and 23 RBI... Went 4-for-5 with a double, two triples and four RBI against Lakeland on June 5... Was named to the Florida State League All-Star team and to the 2002 Year-End Florida State League All-Star team as a designated hitter... Named the FSL player of the week for May 13-19 after hitting .429 (12-28) with six runs scored, four doubles, two triples, two homers, 12 RBI and a .929 slugging percentage... Named the FSL Topps Player of the Month for May.

Began the year with Kinston and knocked in runs in six straight games, April 7-14... Hit safely in eight straight games from April 23 through May 1... Promoted to Akron in early May and had seven hits in his first 14 at-bats before going three for his next 41... Hit safely in nine straight games from June 8-16... Went 5-for-11 (.455) as a pinch-hitter...

With Jupiter, homered twice and knocked in seven runs over a three-game span, April 15-17... Traded by Expos to Indians for future considerations on May 1... At Kinston, went 25-for-54 (.463) with five homers and 14 RBI in 14 games from May 20-June 3...

Homered twice in his first game of the season, April 8 against St. Lucie... Went 3-for-5 with a grand slam against Vero Beach on June 28... Put together a 13-game hitting streak in which he drove in 13 runs from July 24-August 7... Hit .319 with runners in scoring position...

Hit .326 over his first 11 games... Batted .329 with five doubles in June... Called up to Harrisburg in early September and made a pinch-hitting appearance and one start at first base...
