In his second year with Seattle, appeared in 29 games...Played in just eight games before going on the disabled list on 4/19 with a back/left oblique strain...Was sent to Triple-A Tacoma on a rehab assignment 6/2 where he played in 14 games during the month of June and hit safely in all but two games...Defensively at Tacoma played eight games at third-base, two at first base, one in left field and was the DH in three games...Went 3-for-4 at Portland on 6/4 and 4-for-5 at Salt Lake on 6/26...While on injury rehab continued to experience difficulties due to his back strain and was returned to Seattle but was not reinstated...Took part in second rehab assignment to Tacoma from 6/23 to 7/1...Was reinstated from the DL on 7/1...During his second stint with the Mariners had just two hits in 21 games, one a pinch-hit home run on 7/20 at TOR...With Seattle appeared in six games at third base, four at first base and one at second, committed no errors in 35 total chances...Released from Seattle on 8/19.
