Christopher Scott Dohmann...resides in Lafayette, LA with wife, Tara Leigh, with their two children Kristopher Gavin and Ezra Scott... named a 3rd Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball and Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year after compiling a 13-5 record with a 3.23 ERA and 130 strikeouts in 131.0 innings pitched in 2000...led Louisiana Lafayette to the 2000 College World Series and pitched 6.1 innings against San Jose State to help give the Ragin' Cajuns their first-ever CWS victory... played for St. Thomas Moore High School in Louisiana, where he led his team to a pair of district championships...selected by Colorado in the sixth round of the June 2000 First-Year Player Draft...signed by Rockies scout Damon Ianelli.

2009

Went 0-1 with four saves and a 6.75 ERA in 14 relief appearances for Triple-A Reno (Diamondbacks)...Tossed 1.2 innings or more in five of 14 appearances, allowing one earned run in 9.2 innings (0.93 ERA)...Allowed all of his runs in the eighth and ninth innings...allowed one run in 4.2 innings (1.93 ERA) when pitching in the eighth inning and 13 runs in 11.0 innings (10.64) when pitching in the ninth inning...Limited batters leading off innings to a .133 average (2-for-15)...Allowed 16 runs in 8.1 innings (17.28 ERA) in nine games for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of the Japanese Central League before signing with Arizona on July 18.

Began the season on the disabled list with a viral infection, one of many Rockies players to experience the unusual illness at the start of the year...Made a rehab assignment with Class-A Modesto and Triple-A Colorado Springs before returning to the major league club on April 18...Allowed 2 runs in 1.2 IP in his season debut the next night against San Diego...followed that outing with 6.0 scoreless innings over his next 7 appearances through May 9...Recorded his first career save April 28 at Florida fanning 2 of the 3 batters he faced in the Rockies' 3-2, 10th inning win...Was optioned back to Colorado Springs on May 23 when Sun-Woo Kim was activated off the DL...Spent just 11 days with the Sky Sox before returning the Rockies on June 3...allowed 11 runs in 14 outings including 4 home runs in an 8-game span during his second stint landing him back at Triple-A on July 17...Was acquired by the Royals on July 31 along with first baseman Ryan Shealy in exchange for pitchers Jeremy Affeldt (LH) and Denny Bautista (RH)...Made his Kansas City debut the next day against the White Sox allowing a run in 1.1 innings of relief...Allowed runs in 11 of his 21 outings with the Royals as opponents hit .347 off him...earned his lone KC win on Aug. 9 vs. Boston, tossing 1.2 scoreless innings...Was a combined 2-4 with a 7.08 ERA in 48 appearances between Colorado and KC...was the 2nd highest ERA in the majors among relievers with 30 or more innings pitched...only Royals teammate Andy Sisco (7.10) was higher.

2004

Rookie reliever was a bright spot among the Rockies bullpen woes, striking out 49 batters in 46.0 innings while posting a 0-3 record with a 4.11 ERA...his 9.59 strikeouts-per-nine-innings ratio ranked sixth among NL rookies and 23rd among all NL hurlers (min. 20 ip)...held opponents to a .236 average against and was actually tougher on lefties (.211 average, 20 K in 76 AB) than righties (.255, 29 K in 98 AB)...was particularly good against division rivals, putting up a 2.74 ERA with 27 strikeouts and just 7 walks in 23.0 innings versus the NL West...began the season at Colorado Springs (AAA) where he pitched in 18 games, striking out 31 with a team-best 1.64 ERA in 22.0 innings of work...was recalled on May 15 and made his major league debut that day vs. Philadelphia, allowing 2 runs in 2.0 innings of work...returned to the Sky Sox two days later but was back in Denver for good on June 4...from June 22 to July 27, he ran off 14 consecutive scoreless appearances covering 15.1 innings, the longest scoreless streak by a Rockies pitcher in 2004...the opposition batted just .154 (8-for-52) against Scott during that stretch...streak was broken on a home run by LA's David Ross on July 29, the only run that Dohmann would allow in 13 appearances during the month of July (0.69 ERA in 13.0 innings)...was forced from a game in Atlanta on Aug. 24 when he was struck in the neck by a line drive off the bat of Chipper Jones...bounced back two days later to pitch a perfect seventh inning vs. the Braves, striking out 2...closed out August with seven straight scoreless appearances covering 6.1 innings...struggled with the longball early, allowing 7 HR in his first 30.0 innings, but settled down to allow only one HR in his final 16 appearances (16.0 ip)...missed three games when he returned to his native Louisiana to be with wife, Tara, for the birth of their first child, Kristopher Gavin, on Sept. 17.

2003

Began his first Double A season as a starter before emerging as one of Tulsa's top relievers...started his first four games, going 1-2 with a 6.05 ERA (19.1 ip, 13 er)...then moved into the bullpen where he was 8-2 with a 3.63 ERA and 4 saves in 46 relief appearances (74.1 ip, 30 er)...the opposition hit .349 off Dohmann in his starts (29-for-83) but just .232 in relief (65-for-280)...combined, the right-hander was 9-4 with a 4.13 ERA and 102 strikeouts in 93.2 innings...worked mostly in long relief, throwing more than one inning in 26 of his 46 games, including 20 appearances of two or more innings...notched his first professional save on May 15 at Wichita...during June and July, Dohmann went 6-0 with a 2.35 combined ERA and .188 average against in 23 appearances (38.1 ip, 26 h, 10 er).

Career:
Dohmann begins his fifth season in professional baseball, all with the Rockies organization...the former sixth-round pick makes his first appearance on a major league 40-man roster...Dohmann has led two different leagues in starts during his career but was converted to relief last year and found success in that role...he figures to open 2004 with Triple A Colorado Springs.

2002

Led his respective league in starts (28) for the second straight season and tied Zach Parker for most games started within the organization...led all Rockies farmhands with 170.1 innings, third most in the Carolina League...tied for third in the system with 13 wins...worked six or more innings in 18 of his 28 starts...named league Pitcher of the Week April 18-24, as he won both starts during the week while allowing just 1 er in 14.2 IP (0.61 ERA)...was 7-1 through his first nine starts and 9-2 over his first 13 outings.
