Ryan Allen Reid graduated from Deering High School (ME) in 2004…Attended James Madison University, leading the Colonial Athletic Association in wins (10) in 2006. His 11.8 strikeouts per 9.0 innings also led the league in 2006 and ranked seventh nationally among NCAA Division 1 pitchers in 2006. Earned second-team All-NCAA honors and set a school record with 124 strikeouts in his final collegiate season.
2013
Made his major league debut for the Indians after beginning the year at Indianapolis (AAA) of the International League on June 3 at Atlanta...…Tossed 1.1 perfect innings that night…Stranded the bases loaded. Tossed a season-high 3.0 innings with four strikeouts on June 28 vs. Milwaukee to earn his first save. Four of his seven big league appearances were multi-inning efforts…Was unscored upon in five of the seven. Stranded five of six inherited runners. Tossed 6.2 consecutive scoreless innings over four games from June 9-June 28. Made 36 appearances with Indianapolis, going longer than 1.0 inning in 24 outings…Went a season-long 3.2 innings on May 28 vs. Pawtucket. Prior to his promotion, was 6-1 with a save and a 0.52 ERA (two earned runs/34.2 innings)…After returning to Triple-A, went 1-1 with a 5.84 ERA (16 earned runs/24.2 innings).
