John "Red" Patterson…finished his college career at Southwestern Oklahoma State U niversity and was
selected to the second-team All-Lone Star Conference after tying for the club lead with four wins and leading the team in innings (72.1) and strikeouts (103)…earned all-county honors as a senior at Frisco (TX) High School, posting a 5-2 record with a 2.53 ERA and 97 strikeouts…selected in the 29th round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft and signed by scout Calvin Jones.
2013
Posted a 7-4 record with a 3.03 ERA in 39 appearances (12 starts) for Triple-A Albuquerque...Ranked among team leaders in wins (7, 1st), innings pitched (107, 2nd) and strikeouts (109, 2nd)...Was selected as a Dodgers Pride Award recipient for August where he posted a 1-1 record with a 1.57 ERA (5 ER/28.2 IP), which was the second-best mark in the Pacific Coast League in August...Allowed just 17 hits in five starts in the month of August, capping off the season with three consecutive quality starts, allowing two runs or less in all five of his starts in the month.
2012
Selected as a 2012 Southern League All-Star, ranking third on Double-A Chattanooga with seven wins (7-1)
and posting a 3.07 ERA in 47 relief appearances … averaged better than a strikeout per inning with 71 Ks in 70.1 innings.
2011
In 2011 combined to go 12-5 with a 3.69 ERA in 28 starts with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and Single-A Great Lakes to earn the nod as a MiLB,com Organization All-Star .... In 2011 was selected as a Midwest League midseason All-Star…also selected as the winner of the August Dodger Pride Award for the Quakes and earned California League Pitcher of the Week honors.

Selected by the DodIn 2010 with Single-A Great Lakes was selected to the Rookie-advanced Pioneer League All-Star Team after ranking among the league leaders in wins (6, T-4th), ERA (3.33, 2nd) and strikeouts (66, T-9th) in 14 starts with Ogden .... Selected by the Dodgers in the 29th round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft.
