Spent most of the season at Class AAA Louisville but made 12 apps for the Reds following an August promotion...his contract was selected on 8/21 and made his season debut that night vs Atl...pitched 2.1 innings in relief of starter David Holmberg and in the third inning singled off Julio Teheran for his first Major League hit...was the longest relief appearance of his career...retired the first batter in 11-12 apps and stranded all 11 inherited baserunners, including the bases loaded twice...left his appearance on 9/8 vs StL after he was hit on the right forearm by a Matt Holliday comebacker...pitched again 4 days later...in June spent time on Louisville's disabled list with a strained right forearm...following the season pitched for La Guaira in the Venezuelan Winter League (2gs, 0-0, 8.10, 6.2ip, 9h, 2bb, 4k, 2hr).
