Pitched internationally for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters of Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball League…Registered a 3.26 ERA (14 ER/38.2 IP) with 31 hits allowed, 15 walks, 30 strikeouts and a 1.19 WHIP in 40 appearances in the Japan Pacific League, while also pitching in five games for the Ham Fighters’ top Minor League affiliate in the Japan Eastern League (1-0, 4.29 ERA)…Ranked among team leaders in games (tied for fourth) and HR/9 (fourth, 0.5), yielding just two home runs in 38.2 innings…Also notched 13 holds, fifth-most on the club…Signed with Texas on 12/23 to a Minor League contract with a Major League Spring Training invitation.

Spent entire season with St. Paul (AAA) in his lone season with the Minnesota organization…Pitched in a career-high 42 games (four starts), going 6-4 with a 3.69 ERA (35 ER/85.1 IP) and 97 strikeouts (10.23 SO/9)…Ranked among Saints pitchers in games (first), strikeouts (second) and wins (tied for fourth)…Season-long 10-game scoreless streak from 5/9-6/7 (15.2 IP, nine H, 0 R, nine BB, 11 SO)…Held a 3.51 ERA (26 ER/66.2 IP) in 38 relief appearances and a 4.34 ERA (nine ER/18.2 IP) in four starts…Limited right-handed hitters to a .237 (42-for-177) average with a .643 OPS, while lefties batted .279 (41-for-147) with an .840 OPS off him…Tossed season-high 5.2 innings in start on 9/3 vs. COL…Season-best nine strikeouts in 5.0 relief innings on 8/23 at OMA…Elected free agency on 11/6.

2021

Opened the season in Toronto’s system before being claimed off waivers by the Nationals on Aug. 14...Struck out 23 batters in 18.2 inning with the Nationals...Went 0-3 with a 5.14 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 25 Major League outings between the two clubs...On Sept. 8 at Atlanta, tossed 2.2 innings of hitless relief with four strikeouts in relief of Sean Nolin, who was ejected in the first inning...2021 Pitch Mix: Sinker (33.3%) Curveball (32.9%) 4-Seam Fastball (32.3%) Changeup (1.4%).

2020

Allowed one run on six hits for a 1.50 ERA (1 ER/6.0 IP) and a 1.33 WHIP (2BB, 5K) in his first four MLB games....After Summer Camp, went to the club’s alternate training site for the first 48 games of the year...Named as the 29th man for a doubleheader on Sept. 18 at PHI...Made his MLB debut as he pitched in the first game and threw 1.1 scoreless innings of relief with one hit, one walk and three strikeouts...Became the 8th Blue Jay to make his Major League debut in 2020.

2019

Spent the entire season with Double-A New Hampshire...Posted a 4.71 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP over 18 starts...Went 4-0 in day games (1.42 ERA) but was 0-7 in night contests (7.43 ERA)...Was placed on the seven-day injured list on three occasions...Tossed a career-high 8.0 innings on April 28 at Reading (2H, 1ER, 2BB, 7K).

2018

Played all but one of his games with Advanced-A Dunedin ... Over 26 starts for the D-Jays, went 10-5 with a 2.64 ERA ... Led the Florida State League in starts (26) and innings (146.2) ... Also ranked 2nd in the FSL in ERA (2.64), 2nd in strikeouts (135), 3rd in WHIP (1.20) and tied for 4th in wins (10) ... Was named Florida State League Pitcher of the Year ... Made one start for Double-A New Hampshire, on May 27 vs. Hartford, and took a no-decision as he allowed two runs on four hits over 6.0 innings (3BB, 6K) ... Pitched his 1st career complete game on July 5 at Fort Myers (7.0 IP, 3H, 1ER, 1BB, 6K) ... At the end of the season, earned MiLB.com Organizational All-Star and Baseball America High Class-A All-Star honours ... Was added to Toronto's 40-man roster after the season to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft.

2017

Started 2017 with Lansing and landed on the DL twice throughout the season ... Posted a 2.94 ERA and a 4-3 record over 15 starts for the Lugnuts ... Was promoted to Advanced-A Dunedin for a pair of starts at the end of August and went 0-1 with a 7.00 ERA.
