Spent the entire 2000 season on the Disabled List... hampered by a strained flexor tendon on the medial side of his right elbow during spring training...an MRI revealed inflammation in the flexor mass and was termed a partial ligament tear...placed on the 15-day Disabled List on April 1.
Underwent medial elbow reconstruction on June 27... procedure performed by Dr. James Andrews...transferred to 60-day Disabled List on Aug. 11.
1999
Began the season in Omaha (AAA)...registered a 3-1 mark with a 2.10 ERA and 4 saves in 16 games in the Pacific Coast League.
Recalled from the Golden Spikes on May 25 after putting together a 19.0 inning scoreless streak...made his Major League debut on May 25 at Oakland...pitched 1.0 scoreless inning and finished a 5-3 loss.
Did not allow a run in his first 4 big league outings with 1 hit and 2 strikeouts in 4.2 innings...yielded 5 runs in next 3 outings (3.1 IP) to hike his ERA to 5.63.
Placed on the 15-day Disabled List with biceps tendinitis on June 19, retroactive to June 10.
Went on rehab assignment at Gulf Coast on July 26...transferred to 60-day Disabled List on Sept. 24.
