Attended spring training with Cincinnati as a non-roster invitee and spent entire season with Louisville (Reds' AAA)...Threw out 16 of the 61 runners attempting to steal against him (26%), which ranked fourth among International League catchers...Was charged with just one error in 532 total chances in his 74 games (69 starts) behind the plate...Also led all International League catchers in double plays (eight)...Hit five of his six home runs prior to the All-Star break...Recorded a .281 average (16-for-57) against southpaws but hit five of his six homers off righties while hitting .221 (40-for-181)...Was charged with his only error on 4/27 vs. Lehigh Valley...Was on the disabled list from 4/10-21 with right shoulder tendinitis...Recorded a .304 average (14-for-46) in May after hitting .200 in eight games during the month of April...His first homer was a two-run, pinch-hit shot on 5/7 at Lehigh Valley...Collected a season-high four hits while falling a triple shy of hitting for the cycle on 5/14 at Charlotte...Hit .364 (16-for-44) in 15 games during the month of June before going 21-for-123 (.171) from 7/1 thru the remainder of the season.

caught 48 of 101 (47.5 percent) of attempted base stealers at both levels combined - 16 of 43 (37.2
percent) at Montgomery and 32 of 58 (55.2 percent) at Charlotte...compiled a .993 fielding pct. at
both stops...after the season, played in the Arizona Fall League for the Phoenix Desert Dogs, where
he caught WAS Stephen Strasburg...hit .366 (26-for-71) with 2 HR, 14 RBI and a .648 SLG, earning
a place on the AFL All-Prospect Team.
2008
Caught 82 games for Class-A Vero Beach, where
he spent the entire season...led Vero with 49 walks...threw out 26 percent (26 of 100) of attempted
basestealers.

Spent the entire season with Class-A Columbus, where he led all South Atlantic
League catchers in fielding pct. at .992...was named a Sally League midseason All-Star...stole 20
bases, which led all catchers in the minor leagues...the only catcher in pro ball who stole more bases
was All-Star LAD Russell Martin (21)...led Columbus with 49 walks.

Princeton after his selection in the June Draft, and was named Princeton's Player of the Year after
leading the Rays org. and all Rookie-level catchers with a .333 batting average...led the Appalachian
League with a .440 OBP...was ranked the No. 19 prospect in the Appy League by Baseball America following
the season...named to the Appalachian League postseason All-Star Team, the Topps Short-A/
