Michael Steven (Mike) Hessman graduated from Mater Dei High School in California in 1996, where he played baseball and basketball...Had a scholarship offer from the University of Arizona but chose to sign with the Atlanta Braves after being drafted...Named the Most Valuable Player of the Upper Deck Classic in 1995.
