Attended Edinboro University (PA), where he was a first-team Northeast Region All-Star and All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference his sophomore and junior years.

2004

Corey spent 2004 shuffling between Triple-A Nashville and Pittsburgh. He was recalled five times by the Bucs during the season. The right-hander was scored upon once in his final seven relief appearances. Corey went 1-4 with a 4.42 ERA and 16 saves in 34 outings as Nashville's closer.

2003

Split season between New York (NL) and Colorado organizations ... Began season with Norfolk (Mets' AAA). ... Struck out five of the six batters he faced while earning third save on 4/30 vs. Syracuse ... Was scored upon in just three of his first 15 Triple-A appearances (15.0ip/3er - 1.80 ERA) before being recalled by the Mets on 5/13 ... Surrendered one run in 0.2ip and suffered the loss in his first appearance with New York on 5/13 at Los Angeles ... Was optioned back to Norfolk on 5/24 ...
