Missed the first 138 games of the season recovering from Tommy John surgery performed in July 2012. Returned from his medical rehab assignment from Buffalo (AAA) September 3 and reinstated from the 60-day DL (left elbow) appearing in two games with the Bisons (1ER/3.2 IP). On September 4 at ARI appeared in his 1st game since July 8, 2012 at CWS. Threw 5.0 innings over six games out of the bullpen for Toronto in September posting an ERA of 5.40, while limiting the opposition to a .211 average. Made appearances in four games with Dunedin (A) allowing one earned run in 6.0 innings during his rehab from left elbow surgery.

Appeared in 35 games for Toronto in the first half of the season before being disabled with left elbow soreness...Did not pitch for the remainder of the season and had Tommy John surgery in late July...Appeared in 23 of the clubs first 53 contests... pitched six scoreless innings and did not allow a base runner until the sixth inning and picked up his 3rd win of the season in
a 1-0 victory... Allowed only one hit in his six innings... KEEPING THEM GROUNDED: Has a 2.32 GB/FB ratio in the minors

April 19... Tossed a complete game in his final outing for the Fisher Cats before a promotion to Las Vegas of the Pacific
Caost league (AAA) in mid June... VEGAS BOUND: Spent the balance of the season with the 51s, making 15 starts... Picked up the win in his AAA debut on June 16, allowing only three hits in five innings... As he did in New Hampshire, tossed a complete game in his final start with Las Vegas, this time picking up the win.

Spent the entire season at New Hampshire (AA) of the Eastern league, his first at the AA level... WORKHORSE: Was tied for the Estern League lead in starts (27), also finishing 2nd in innings pitched (162.1), 4th in strikeouts (112), 4th in ERA (3.55) and T-9th in wins (9)... HONOURED: Participated in the 11th annual XM Satellite Radio All-Star
Futures Game, representing the World Team... Allowed three runs or less in 20 of 27 starts, adding 14 quality starts...
Recorded the first two complete games of his career, one on May 6 and the other on July 28... Held Eastern League hitters
to a .239 average.
2008
Spent the season with Lansing (A) of the
Midwest League, making 28 appearances (23 starts)...Led the Lugnuts, in Innings Pitched (137.1), strikeouts (137), walks (51) and losses (12)...Was 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA in six June starts, leading to a Midwest League All-Star nod...The spectacular June earned him Minor League pitcher of the
Month honours for the club....Made 20 straight starts to end
the season...Was 0-2 with a 3.00 ERA in five relief
appearances.
2007
After two seasons in the Dominican league, made 16 starts with Auburn (A) of the short-season New York-Penn League... Picked up his first win June 28, going eight innings, a season high... Allowed three or fewer runs in all but one start... Fanned seven or more on four occasions, collecting 71 in 75.1 innings... Allowed only one home run, coming in his final start of the season.
