Spent his first full season in the major leagues, making 46 relief appearances after totaling
just 45 games in his first 3 big league seasons...Posted a career-best 3.81 ERA, allowing runs
in just 18 of his 46 outings...Compiled a 1.53 ERA (3 ER/17.2 IP) in his first 16 games through the
end of May and had a 2.40 ERA (8 ER/30.0 IP) after 26 games on July 2...However, logged a 5.55
ERA (15 ER/24.1 IP) in his fi nal 20 games, including a 7.62 ERA (11 ER/13.0 IP) in 11 appearances
from August 5-September 11...5 of his 7 home runs allowed on the season came in that 11-game

ROYALS ORGANIZATION: Opened the season at Omaha and was 0-4, 3.88 in 10 games/9 starts...issued one earned run in 12.1 innings without a decision in his 1st 2 outings...pitched at least 6.0
innings in 6 of 9 starts with season-high 8 frames on May 6 (ND) against Round Rock...fanned 7
batters on 3 occasions...earned 1st pro save with 4 shutout innings, May 1 at Albuquerque...was
promoted to Kansas City on June 8 and started that night versus Texas...issued 10 hits and 9 runs
(5 ER) in 2.0 innings but had no decision as Royals rallied from an 11-4 deficit to win, 16-12...was

RED SOX: Was claimed on waivers by Boston on June 16 and added to active roster on June

Had 3 stints with the Royals in 2005 after starting the season at Omaha (AAA)...went 1-3 for KC with a 6.75 ERA (36.0 IP, 27 ER) in 13 games (3 starts)...Fared out of the bullpen, compiling a 1-0 record and a 2.66 ERA (23.2 IP, 7 ER) as a reliever and a 0-3 record and a 14.59 ERA (12.1 IP, 20 ER) in 3 starts.
2004
Missed the entire 2004 season after undergoing surgery to repair torn
labrum in his right shoulder on Feb. 25...surgery was performed by Dr. Craig
Morgan.
2003
Joined the Royals on May 1 after making 5 starts for Omaha (AAA)...was 3-0 with a 2.79 ERA before
joining the big league club.
Snyder went 1-6 with a 5.17 ERA in 15 starts in his 1st season at the big league level...allowed 11
home runs, 21 walks and struck out 39 in 85.1 innings.
At 6-feet-8, is the tallest player to ever play for the Royals...8 other KC players stood at 6-feet-7
(Rich Gale, Dennis Rasmussen, John Davis, Bob Scanlan, Jerry Spradlin, Jim Pittsley, George Throop, Blake
Stein and Graeme Lloyd).
Made his Major League debut in Boston on May 1 and got a no decision as he allowed 3 runs (1 ER) in
5.0 innings of work in KC's 6-5 loss.
Posted a 4.14 ERA for the month of May, but did not earn a victory in his 6 starts during the
month...averaged just 3.41 runs per start from the offense in May.
Struck out a career-high 6 in 7.0 innings at Oakland on May 23.
Picked up his 1st career victory in Los Angeles on June 4...went 6.0 innings and allowed just 1 run on
3 hits while striking out 4 in the Royals 2-1 victory.
Threw a season-best 7.1 innings at Cleveland on June 25... allowed just 6 hits and 1 ER in one of his
best outings of the season but earned a no-decision in the Royals 3-1, 10-inning win...Milton Bradley singled
and scored in the 2nd for the Tribe's only run.
Placed on the 15-day disabled list on July 3 due to soreness in his right shoulder.
Was 1-4 with a 4.62 ERA at the All-Star break.
Activated off of the disabled list on July 21 to start against the A's...went 7.0 innings in the game and
gave up 3 hits and 1 run...left with the game tied, 1-1, and did not factor in KC's 6-1 loss as Oakland scored
5 in the 9th.
Placed on the 15-day D.L. on Aug. 6 with right shoulder stiffness...was transferred to the 60-day D.L.
on Sept. 2...missed the final 51 games of the season.
2002
Snyder made 21 starts in 2002, compiling a combined 2-4 record at Wilmington (A) and Wichita (AA)
... he allowed 70 hits and 28 earned runs in 74.0 innings of work for a 3.41 ERA on the season.
Walked just 18 batters on the season (2.2 per 9 innings) while recording 66 strikeouts (8.0 per 9).
Began the season at Wilmington where he made 15 limited starts...threw 4 consecutive outings without allowing a run, a span of 13.0 innings from April 16-May 3.
Was promoted to Wichita on Aug. 1 and made 6 starts...threw a season-high 6.0 innings vs. San Antonio on Aug. 12...gave up 6 hits and 3 earned runs in a losing effort.
Was named the 7th-best prospect in the organization by Baseball America for the 2003 season.

Pitched in only 2 games during the 2000 season after experiencing elbow soreness...had a transposition of the ulnar nerve in his right elbow on June 9...during a rehab start he tore his ulnar collateral ligament and underwent Tommy John surgery, which was performed by Dr. James Andrews on Sept. 7, 2000.
