He and his wife, Melissa, make their offseason home in Metaire, La...attended Southeastern Louisian University...named the 1992 TAAC Conference tournament MVP...a 1987 graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School (LA)...brother Jim also played in the Major Leagues from 1992-98, pitching for three different teams...played in Babe Ruth and Dixie Youth leagues.

Named a Midwest League All-Star with Class A Springfield...led the league in saves (33) and Rolaids Relief Man points (95)...finished third in the league in games finished (46), fourth in batting average against for a reliever (.144) and fifth in strikeouts in relief (12.62).

Pitched in the Boston Red Sox organization...appeared in four games at the Major League level...did not record a decision for the Red Sox and finished with a 4.50 ERA (1ER/2IP)...pitched for current Astros manager Jimy Willliams...made 10 appearances for Pawtucket and notched six saves when his contract was purchased by the Red Sox on June 12...optioned back to Triple a on June 23 and concluded the season there with a team-leading 15 saves in 35 appearances...made just one appearance for Pawtucket on May 8 (2.1IP, 4H, 1ER, 4K) before returning to Trenton on May 11...made five more appearances before returning to Pawtucket on May 20...finished 1-0 with a 0.53 ERA with 10 saves for Trenton...began the season at Double A Trenton and posted seven saves and a 0.73 ERA (1ER/12.1IP) when promoted to Triple A Pawtucket on May 8.

Appeared in three Major League games with the Philadelphia Phillies, posting a 5.41 ERA (2ER/3.1IP) with four strikeouts...began the season at Double A Reading...spent the majority of the season at Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre where he finished 0-1 with a 0.72 ERA (2ER/25IP) in 26 games.
