Played professionally for 12 seasons with six organizations from 2000-2011, including parts of eight seasons in the Major Leagues with five different teams from 2002-10...Made Major League debut with Toronto on Sept. 6, 2002, and was the Blue Jays' Opening Day catcher in 2004...Caught all 30 of Tim Wakefield's starts in 2008 for Boston and homered in the ALCS vs. Tampa Bay... Spent the majority of the season in the majors, combining to hit .167 (19-114) with 2 homers and 5 RBI in 49 games with Houston and Boston...had 48 games/37 starts behind the plate... caught 5 of 43 (11.6%) attempted base stealers...had one pickoff...began the year at Round Rock (AAA) and was recalled by Astros on May 5...played 20 games (18 starts) for Houston before he was designated for assignment on June 22...was outrighted to Round Rock on June 23...acquired by Boston on July 1 in exchange for infielder Angel Sanchez at a time when both Victor Martinez (left thumb fracture) and Jason Varitek (right foot fracture) were on the disabled list for Red Sox...started 15 of 19 games for Red Sox from July 2-24...was on disabled list Aug. 9-23 with a left hamstring strain with rehab stints at Pawtucket (AAA) and Lowell (Short-A)...made just 2 starts for Boston the rest of the way, both on the back end of doubleheaders...in final start on Oct. 2 vs. New York-AL (Game 2), posted game-tying RBI on bases-loaded walk in the 8th inning of a 7-6, 10-inning victory that helped lead to an A.L. Signed by the Yankees to a minor league deal on
Jan. 14...spent Spring Training with the Major league club and hit .286 (8x28) in 15 spring games with New York...assigned to
Scranton Wilkes-Barre (AAA) to begin the season...placed on the minor league DL from April 15-May 5...reinstated from the DL
three days before his selection to the Yankees MLB roster on May 8...at the time of his selection, was hitting .500 (9x18) with
one home and six RBI in seven games...appeared in 10 games for the Yankees from May 12-27, while Jorge Posada was on the
Disabled List...hit .231 (6x26) in his time with New York, which included a three-hit game on May 25 at TEX...optioned back to
Scranton on May 29...from that point through the end of his season, hit just .120 (6x50) before being placed on the DL on June

for the Red Sox down the stretch, including 4 of 7 Tim Wakefield starts...Went 3-for-27 (.111)
with a double and 4 RBI in 12 big league games overall...Batted .176 with 7 homers and 25 RBI in

Spent his second season in the Devil Rays organzation, playing exclusively for Triple-A
Durham...had spent at least part of each of the previous 4 seasons in the Majors...played 50 games at catcher, but also saw action at third base (5 games), first base (2 games), left field (2 games) and pitcher (one game)...earned the win in his one game on the mound, tossing a perfect inning in Durham's 6-5, 14-inning victory on June 9 vs. Norfolk...posted a .992 fielding percentage behind the plate with 3 errors and 12 passed balls...batted .183 with 2 homers and 21 RBI in 78 games...went 3-for-4 (.750) with the bases loaded, including a grand slam on May 26 vs. Richmond...was released by the Devil Rays on Dec. 5.
