2006

Spent the entire 2006 season at Triple A Sacramento in the Oakland A's organization where he hit .268 (113- 422) with 71 runs scored, 29 doubles, 13 homers & 68 RBI in 114 games...Hit .326 (30-92) in May, hit .330 (32-97) off LHP, .354 (35-99) with RISP and .320 (16-50) with RISP-2outs...Also pitched 2.0IP (2ER) on May 6 vs. Tucson...Appeared mainly at second base but did make 6 appearances at third.

2005

Had three stints with the A's and spent all but three weeks of the season with Oakland...appeared in just 51 games and batted .161 with three home runs and 25 RBIs...the batting average was third lowest in Oakland history among players with at least 150 plate appearances (Dave Duncan, .126 in 1969; George Williams, .152 in 1996)...his 25 RBIs came on just 22 hits...the RBI total was the second most in Oakland history by a player with more RBI than hits (Mark McGwire, 90 RBIs, 87 hits in 1995)...batted .200 (15-for-75) at home, compared to .113 (7-for-62) on the road...hit all three of his home runs on the road...all three of his home runs and 16 of his 25 RBIs came in the seventh inning or later...started 24 games at second base, seven at designated hitter and five at third base...appeared in a total of 25 games at second, 12 at third, nine at DH and two in left field...hit .125 (3-for-24) as the designated hitter, and was 2-for-11 (.182) with a double and two RBIs as a pinch-hitter...batted under .200 in every month except August, when he went 1-for-4 (.250) in four games...had three home runs and 16 RBIs over his first 22 games through May 20 but had no home runs and nine RBIs in 29 games after that...was on the A's Opening Day roster and started 23 of the A's first 47 games (22 at second base, one at third base)...made just 13 starts the rest of the season and just one after July 21 (Sept. 17 at Boston at second base)...hit .169 (14-for-83) in 26 games during his first stint with the team before being optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on May 30...was recalled to Oakland on June 14 and hit .163 (8-for-49) while appearing in just 20 of the A's 64 games before he was optioned to Sacramento again on Aug. 26...returned on Aug. 31 when Bobby Crosby went on the disabled list, and appeared in just five games during his final stint, going 0-for-5...had a career-high five RBIs on May 20 at San Francisco on just one hit...walked in the first inning, had sacrifice flies in the fourth and sixth innings, then hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning...the two sacrifice flies tied an Oakland single-game record...snapped a season-high 0-for-14 streak on July 3...made his fifth career appearance in the outfield on July 29 against Detroit in left field...it was his first game in the outfield since July 2, 2004, at Pittsburgh...also played left field on Sept. 16 at Boston...went 1-for-16 over his final 12 games and did not play after Sept. 18...batted .333 with three home runs and 12 RBIs in 14 games with Sacramento...hit .412 (7-for-17) against left-handers and .300 (12-for-40) with all three of his home runs against right-handers...batted .412 (7-for-17) with runners in scoring position...appeared in nine games at third base and four at second base, and was also 0-for-4 in one game at designated hitter...was 4-for-4 with three doubles on June 12 at Colorado Springs.

Spent his first full season in the Majors...appeared in 127 games with the Brewers, batting .257 with 14 home runs and 44 RBI...led National League rookies in home runs and was among rookie leaders in runs (4th, 51), total bases (5th, 153), on-base percentage (5th, .352), slugging percentage (5th, .427), walks (t-5th, 37), extra-base hits (6th, 31), RBI (7th) and multihit games (t-9th, 21)...ranked fourth in the NL getting hit by a pitch 17 times...hit .302 (13 for 43) with five RBI in May and posted a .302 average (13 for 43) with two homers and five RBI in June...equaled a career-best with three hits on September 5 vs. Chicago (NL)...belted two pinch-hit homers: June 25 at Chicago (NL) and a game-winner on July 24 vs. Houston...collected his first career multi-home run game on July 10 vs. Pittsburgh...swiped his first Major League stolen base on June 1 at Los Angeles...drove in a career high three runs on three occasions: April 20 vs. Houston, August 13 at Philadelphia and September 6 vs. Chicago (NL)...established a personal best nine-game hitting streak from August 5 to 14 (12 for 31, 2 HR, 7 RBI)...made his first career start at shortstop on May 28 at San Diego and his first career start in left field on April 6 vs. San Francisco.

2002

Began the season in the Houston Astros system...started the campaign at Triple-A New Orleans appearing in 52 games before joining the big club...played in seven games with the Astros before returning to the minors...connected for a pair of long balls on August 31 at Oklahoma...acquired by the Milwaukee Brewers on September 5 as one of two players to be named later in the August 31 trade in which Milwaukee traded Mark Loretta to Houston, joining left-hander Wayne Franklin...collected multiple hits in each of his first two games with the Brewers including a career-high three hits on September 8 vs. Cincinnati.

2001

Recalled from New Orleans on May 5 ... spent three days with the team before being optioned back to the Zephyrs on May 7 ... popped out in his only plate appearance of the season on May 6 at Montreal ... hit .269 with 16 home runs and 70 runs batted in for New Orleans ... scored a team-high 76 runs ... also led the Zephyrs in doubles (31), hits (123), hit by pitches (23), walks (61), and strikeouts (147) ... stole eight bases ... played in 132 games for New Orleans appearing in 93 at second base, 36 in the outfield, and three at third base ... named to the Pacific Coast League All-Star Team and named PCL Player of the Week from May 14 - 20 ... hit .340 (16-47) with a team-leading five home runs and 11 RBI during 2001 Spring Training.

2000

The Texas League Most Valuable Player for Double A Round Rock, reached the Major Leagues in only his third professional season ... second baseman was named MVP for the Express, hitting .333 with 30 doubles, three triples, 26 homers and 92 RBI ... helped lead Round Rock to the Texas League title in the franchise's first year of existence ... led the Texas League in hitting, finished fifth in homers and fourth in RBI ... led the league in on-base percentage (.457) and finished second in slugging percentage (.580) ... one of just 37 players in Texas League history to have 20 steals and 20 home runs ... contract was purchased from Round Rock on September 16 ... made big league debut on September 20 at St. Louis, getting his first RBI with a sacrifice fly ... started the final two games of the year vs Milwaukee, September 29 - 30 ... hit his first Major League home run on September 30 vs the Brewers off of Jimmy Haynes.

Played most of the campaign at Single-A Kissimmee, but did reach Double-A for the first time with nine games at Jackson...hit a combined .273 with 14 home runs and 52 RBI in 112 games.

Earned club Most Valuable Player honors for Auburn in his first pro season, tying for first in the New York-Penn League with 55 runs...hit .315 with eight home runs and 41 RBI in 71 games.
