Began 2019 with Double-A Mobile in the Southern League and made five starts for BayBears before being promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake, May 18...In 15 games (two starts) at Triple-A, was 3-2 with two saves and a 6.23 ERA (39 IP - 27 ER) and 41 strikeouts...Made Major League debut with Angels July 27 vs. Baltimore (1.2 IP, 1 H, 2 SO)...Had first Major League start Sept. 22 at Houston...Recorded a 2.75 ERA (19.2 IP - 6 ER) and .233 (17/73) opposing batting average across nine games for Angels...Compiled a 10-inning scoreless streak from Aug. 12-Sept. 17...Set season high with four innings pitched Aug. 12 vs. Pittsburgh...Had two outings with three scoreless innings of work, Sept. 10 vs. Cleveland and Sept. 17 at New York (A.L.)...Held opponents to a .208 (11/53) batting average against his off-speed pitches, compared with a .300 (6/20) average against his fastball.

Spent 2018 with Mobile, tossing 114.2 innings, starting all 23 games he pitched in...Enjoyed an excellent April on the mound, posting a 2.61 ERA (20.2 IP - 6 ER), 0.97 WHIP and a .208 opposing batting average (16/77) with 18 strikeouts and four walks over his first four starts of the season...Struck out 11 batters and walked none against Pensacola in an Aug. 10 no-decision.

Played 2017 with Adv.-A Inland Empire in California League...Named a Mid-Season All-Star...Over 27 starts and 149.1 IP, he had a career-high eight wins and 134 strikeouts...Struck out a career-high 13 batters and walked none over six innings, Aug. 11 vs. Rancho Cucamonga, allowing three hits and a run, earning the victory... Allowed one-or-fewer earned runs in 10 of 27 starts...Threw 87 pitches in a career-high 8 IP in his final start of year Sept. 2 at Lancaster (8 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 0 BB, 4 SO), earning a no-decision.

2016

Spent 2016 with Single-A Burlington of the Midwest League, where he was named a Mid-Season All-Star...Went 7-5 with a 3.14 ERA (131.2 IP - 46 ER), .263 (135/514) opponent batting average, 115 SO and 32 BB over 27 starts... Posted a 2.40 ERA (30 IP - 8 ER) and 1.03 WHIP in his six August starts, striking out 29 and walking one...Went 4-2 with a 2.94 ERA (67.1 IP - 22 ER), 1.14 WHIP, and 63 SO in his 14 starts after the All-Star break...Had three starts in which he allowed just one hit across five IP (June 1 at Kane County, Aug. 23 vs. Kane County and Sept. 3 vs. Quad Cities) and two starts in which he allowed two hits over five IP (May 17 at Wisconsin and Aug. 13 vs. Clinton).
