2011
Was a member of Colorado's Opening Day roster - the second time in his career he was part of a Major League Opening Day roster (also with Minnesota in 2009)...Made 17 starts behind the plate for the Rockies and threw out four of the 13 runners attempting to steal against him (31%) - the best caught stealing percentage of his MLB career...Also made two appearances at second base; 4/16 vs. Chicago (NL) and 5/28 vs. St. Louis - his first appearances there since playing four games at second base with Quad Cities (Twins' Class-A) in 2003...Batted .250 (4-for-16) from the right side of the plate and .273 (12-for-44) from the left side...Hit safely in 11 of his 17 starts behind the plate; hit .345 (10-for-29) in the 7th inning or later...Suffered a fractured right thumb on 6/15 vs. San Diego and missed remainder of the season; he suffered the injury during the game, but would finish the contest going 2-for-4 while also throwing a runner out attempting to steal second base...Finished the season on the 60-day D.L.

Converted to catcher...began the season at Ft. Myers...hit safely in 10 of 13 games, including a six-game hit-streak from May 9-15...went four-for-six with two doubles, three runs scored and two rbi May 14...transferred to Quad City on May 23...recorded a season high with three hits on June 6 with three rbi vs. Lancaster...12-game hit-streak from June 26-July 9, batting .396 (19-for-48) with two home runs and nine rbi in that span...was placed on disabled list on August 21...hit .390 (23-for-59) with 12 rbi in 17 home games...hit .369 (24-for-65) with 14 rbi in June.
