Spent his 4th and final season in Colorado where he left as the franchise's all-time saves leader with 102 ahead
of Bruce Ruffin's 60...Jimenez once again led the club in the saves department but would conclude 2003 by seeing
his first starting action in almost four years...Converted 20 of 23 (87%) save opportunities, becoming the first
Rockie to record 20 or more saves in three different seasons...The right-hander converted 102-of-122 (84%) save
chances as a member of the Rockies.
Finished with a 2-10 record for the second year in a row...In his 56 relief appearances, Jimenez was 1-6 with a
5.81 ERA (62.0 IP, 40 ER)...Retired 37-of-56 first batters faced (.661) but allowed 6 of his 10 inherited runners to

Got into the win column in his fifth start, an 8-2 victory at Arizona on Sept. 12 (5.2 IP, 8 H, 1 R/ER)...It was his first win as a starter since 7/5/99, as he had been 0-7 in his previous 16 starts...Jimenez and the Rockies were
shutout 6-0 by the Astros on Sept. 18 at Coors, marking the first time in 361 games and 1,535 days that the Rox

On 6/25 at Arizona, he became only the 23rd rookie to pitch a no-hitter...Faced one batter over the minimum
and fanned 8 in a 1-0 shutout over Randy Johnson (who allowed just 5 hits and fanned 14 in a CG loss)...Jose
turned in another outstanding effort against the D'Backs on 7/5 at Busch Stadium, a two-hit shutout...Fanned a
career-best 9 in that contest and again defeated Johnson, 1-0...Those two shutouts ranked him T-2nd in the
National League...Overall, his run support (4.25) was the 4th lowest among NL starters...Lost 7 straight decisions
(8 starts) 4/28-6/4...Was tied for 4th in the league with 14 losses...On 7/21 at Cincinnati, he allowed only 3 hits
in seven innings, but surrendered his first-ever home run to a right-handed batter (Pokey Reese), the difference
in a 1-0 loss...On 8/17, the Cardinals optioned him to AAA Memphis for a three-week stay...Recalled 9/7, he made
