Full name is Jose Rodolfo Devers...Cousin of Boston Red Sox infielder Rafael Devers. Both were on Major League rosters when Miami played in Boston from May 28-29, 2021.

Spent the entire season at Double-A Pensacola, slashing .276/.352/.421/.773 (103x373) with 21 doubles, six triples, seven home runs, 46 RBI and five stolen bases in 96 games...Had one stint on the 7-day Injured List in the minors (Aug. 18-Sept. 28)...Compiled two games with four hits last season, going 4x4 on May 30 at Biloxi and 4x5 on Aug. 2 vs. Biloxi. Following an 0-for-6 start over his first four games; went 10-for-35 (.286) over next 17 games...Became the first Marlin 21 years and 138 days old or younger to make his MLB debut since June 2010 when Giancarlo Stanton debuted at 20 and 212 days. Became the 10th non-pitcher to make his MLB debut with the Marlins under the age of 22. Only Robert Andino (21.132), Luis Castillo (20.331) , Giancarlo Stanton (20.212), Miguel Cabrera (20.063) and Edgar Rentaria (19.277) debuted at a younger age...Batted first in lineup on June 4 at Pittsburgh...Became the 3rd-youngest player to lead off a game with the Marlins. Split time between Single-A Clinton and Advanced-A Jupiter 2019...Posted 16 multi-hit games including 5 games of 3-or-more hits across all three levels...Battled injuries for most of the season, but played in 47 total games, (3 in Clinton, 11 on rehab assignment with GCL, and 33 for Jupiter)...In 33 games with Jupiter, he hit .325 with three doubles, a triple, three RBI and five stolen bases at the age of 19...Tied a career-high with four hits against Charlotte on May 4, going 4x5 with a double...Played for the Salt River Rafters in the Arizona Fall League, hitting .262 with three doubles and helping the team to an AFL Championship.
2018
At just 18 years old, Devers played 85 games for Single-A Greensboro in 2018 before being promoted to Jupiter in August, but was sidelined with a forearm strain after just two games...Hit .273 with 12 doubles, four triples and 24 RBI with Greenboro, while swiping 13 bases.

Made his debut in the United State at the age of 17 in 2017...Played 42 games for the GCL Yankees hitting .246 with seven doubles, three triples and a home run...Played 11 games for the DSL Yankees in 2017, hitting .239 with two doubles, a triple and seven RBI.
