Jeffrey Keith Frazier...graduated from Toms River South (NJ) High School...named The Star Ledger's New Jersey State Player of the Year in 2001...played collegiately at Rutgers University...was a All-Big East Conference selection as a junior (.382, 16 doubles, 13 home runs, 59 RBI)...also as junior, led Big East Conference in batting and was tabbed 2nd-Team All-American by Baseball America and USA Today's Sports Weekly...earned All-Big East Conference honors as sophomore...played with Chatham in the Cape Cod League during summer of 2003...nabbed spot on Baseball America's Freshman All-American squad in 2002 (.356, 45 runs, 11 doubles, 13 home runs and 54 RBI)...played with Danbury in the New England Collegiate Baseball League during summer of 2002...was a NECBL All-Star and 2nd-Team Summer All-American by Baseball America...tabbed the 2nd-best prospect in the NECBL by Baseball America...played on Toms River (NJ) teams that made it to 1995 Little League World Series and 1996 Junior League World Series...brother, Todd Frazier, is a shortstop in CIN organization.

Saw first big league action with DET, appearing in 9 games...made MLB debut, July 30 at BOS...first big league hit was a single off Daisuke Matsuzaka, July 31 at Fenway Park...with Triple-A Toledo, was selected to the International League's mid and post-season All-Star squads...led the IL with 61 extra-base hits, and tied for 3rd in IL with 34 doubles, 25 home runs and 235 total bases...homered once every 19.1 at-bats (5th in IL)...was named IL Player of the Week, July 12-18...hit .571 with a double, 3 home runs and 6 RBI in 4 games to earn the citation.

Combined to hit .311 with 34 doubles, 12 homers and 67 RBI in 128 games for Toledo and Double-A Erie...ranked 6th in Triple-A International League with .308 batting average...tabbed the IL Player of the Week, July 20-26, after hitting .545 with 3 doubles, 5 home runs and 12 RBI in 9 games.

Batted .303 Erie to tie for 7th in the International League...advanced to Triple-A for the first time.
