Spent majority of the season at Triple-A Pawtucket, where he earned International League MVP and BBWAA Red Sox Minor League Award honors, and also appeared in 27 games over 3 stints for the Red Sox...Became the sixth PawSox all-time to receive IL MVP honors: Pat Dodson (1986), Jim Rice (1974), Ted Cox (1977), Gary Allenson (1978) and Dave Stapleton (1979)...Set minor league career highs with 88 runs scored, 25 home runs and a .562 slugging percentage while matching careers bests with 126 hits and 28 doubles...Among IL leaders, ranked first with 88 runs scored, second with a .562 slugging percentage,

came vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Phillies) in Game 2 of a July 2 doubleheader, when he went 3-for-3 with a double, 2 homers, 5 RBI, 3 runs and a walk.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Hit .296 (93-for-314) with 12 homers and 52 RBIs in his final 89 games
beginning June 1 after batting just .229 (33-for-144) in 45 games in April and May...was a .318
(47-for-148) hitter with 12 homers against lefties, while batting just .255 (79-for-310) with 10 long
balls off righties.

and June to earn a trip to Bowie for the All-Star Game as the North Division's starting catcher...

the Edmonton Trappers...with 13 homers at Harrisburg and one at Edmonton, matched his career
high of 14 long balls from 2000.
