Earned his first Major League win on 4/22 vs. BOS, after tossing 6.0 innings (6 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 2 K) ... Made two starts and four appearances for Baltimore, and 21 starts for Triple-A Norfolk ... Tossed a season-high 8.0 innings on 6/16 against Louisville, allowing one unearned run on eight hits with five strikeouts ... Pitched for the Toros del Este of the Dominican Winter League, pitching 11 games and going 1-1 with a 9.00 ERA (7 ER/7.0 IP).

Played for three different teams during the season, making a career-high 24 starts between Dunedin (5), Bradenton (13) and Lynchburg (6)…Combined to go 5-11 with a 3.28 ERA over a career-high 137.1 innings…Allowed two runs or less in 16 of 24 starts, making 11 quality starts, four of the quality starts were scoreless…Ranked 16th among all Advanced-A level pitchers with a 3.28 ERA and T20th with 137.1 innings pitched…Fired 8.2 scoreless innings of four-hit ball at Carolina (8/29) throwing just 86 pitches, while with Lynchburg…Led the Florida State League with a career-high four balks.

Spent the majority of the season with Modesto (A) before his final two starts at Tulsa (AA). Tossed a complete game in his penultimate start at Modesto on Aug. 14 in a 6-4 win. California League hitters batted .305 (LH, .314 - RH, .301)... Posted an 8.55 ERA before the break and 4.56 ERA after. In his two starts at Tulsa (AA) both were quality starts, recording six innings allowing two runs in each... Batters hit just .205 in his 16 innings. Was 2-0 with a 3.38 ERA in four AFL starts following season.
2013
Spent the season between Short Season Tri-City and Single-A Asheville...11 of his 15 combined games on the year came at Asheville. Began the season with Tri-City and made four starts, going 0-1 with a 3.13 ERA (23.0 ip, 8 er)...limited opponents to a .182 average (4-for-22) with runnings in scoring position. Joined Asheville on July 7, and made appearances in 11 games/10 starts...did not receive a winning decision in any of his games. As a starter for Asheville, he went 0-9 with a 4.58 ERA (59.0 ip, 30 er)...as a reliever, he was 0-1 with a 7.20 ERA (5.0 ip, 4 er). Pitched better on the road for Asheville, yielding a 3.49 ERA (28.1 ip, 11 er) in 5 road starts compared to a 5.80 ERA (35.2 ip, 23 er) in 6 games/5 starts at home.
2012
Split the season between the DSL Rockies and the Rookie Level Grand Junction going a combined 10-1 with a 1.66 ERA (108.1 ip, 20 er) over 16 starts and striking out 110 with only 20 walks...went 6-1 with a 1.52 ERA (65.0 ip, 11 er) in nine starts for the DSL Rockies before being called up...following the season, was ranked 11th among Rockies prospects by MLB.com.
