Jay Jonathan Gibbons...resides with wife, Laura, and children Gavin, Grayer and Giada in Agoura, CA...on Aug. 19, 2010, took 20 disadvantaged youth on a back-to-school shopping spree at the Staples in El Monte...along with Ramon Troncoso, hosted the Dodgers' annual Childrens Holiday Party on Dec. 9, 2010 for 300 kids from the community surrounding Dodger Stadium...is a 1995 graduate of Mayfair HS in Lakewood, CA, where he played baseball, football and soccer...attended Cal State-Los Angeles from 1996-98, where he was a three-time All-Conference and All-Region baseball player...was originally signed by Toronto scout Bill Moore.

Promoted to Triple-A Nashville on July 27, hitting .312 with 10 doubles, five home runs and 15 RBI in 29 games with the Sounds ... Connected for three hits in a game four times, while posting two or more hits on 10 occasions ...
