Did not appear in a game for the Dodgers while still recovering from June 20, 2007 right shoulder surgery that repaired a torn labrum and frayed biceps tendon...began the season on the 15-day disabled list...Went on rehabilitation assignments on three different occasions in hopes of returning to a Major League mound...Season officially ended after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder on Sept. 10...the 60-minute procedure to clean up scar tissue was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache...it was also found that the labrum that was repaired in 2007 was completely healed...In four starts overall with Single-A Inland Empire, posted no record and a 3.48 ERA... in five starts overall with Triple-A Las Vegas, went 0-1 with a 7.30 ERA...last appeared on the mound on Aug. 29 vs. Colorado Springs, tossing 1.0 scoreless inning...Was transferred to the 60-day disabled list on May 20, creating a 40-man roster spot for Danny Ardoin, whose contract was purchased from Triple-A Las Vegas that day to replace the injured Gary Bennett

2007

Won his first start in a Dodger uniform, beating the Brewers in Milwaukee on April 4...gave up just one run and struck out five in 5.0 innings...homered off Colorado's Jeff Francis in the Dodgers' home opener on April 9, the seventh home run of his career...was placed on the 15-day disabled list on April 17 after just three starts with inflammation in his right shoulder...made one rehab start on May 30 at Single-A Inland Empire and pitched 6.0 scoreless innings...allowed just two hits, and struck out seven batters...missed 45 games before returning to the mound on June 5 at San Diego and had a dominant outing, giving up one hit and no runs in 6.0 innings of work...picked up the no-decision in a game the Dodgers went on to lose...was placed on the disabled list for the second time on June 18 and had season-ending right shoulder surgery on June 20 to remove scar tissue from the bursa sac, repair a frayed biceps tendon, and repair a torn labrum...surgery was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache.
