Began season at Triple-A Rochester...did not allow a run in first three appearances (7.0 ip), April 11-23...contract selected, May 25...made Major League debut in relief, tossing 1.0 scoreless inning, May 26 vs. Toronto...optioned June 7...was 0-1, 2.25 (12.0 ip, 3 er) in five appearances (two starts), June 11-28...did not allow a run in four of five appearances (one start), going 0-0, 1.29 (7.0 ip, 1 er).

2006

Spent the year with Triple-A Rochester and was used as both a starter and reliever...started the season with a 0.77 ERA (11.2 ip, 1 er) over his first eight relief appearances...earned the win and struck out four in 2.2 scoreless innings April 20...moved to the rotation June 8...pitched a 9.0 inning complete game shutout August 19 at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre...struck out seven and allowed just two hits...went 2-8 with a 4.46 ERA as a starter...posted a 1.82 ERA as a reliever.
