Opened the season on the disabled list after with a hairline fracture to his right fibula. Went on the DL April 14, retro to April 4. Activated off the DL on July 22. Appeared in 14 games with seven starts. Made his first appearance on July 22 at San Francisco, giving up one earned run on two hits in two innings of relief. Picked up his first win on Aug. 1 at St. Louis, giving up four earned runs in five innings. Made his last start on Sept. 11, suffering a loss at Philadelphia, giving up six runs in 2 1/3 innings.
